About Training in Care
Training in Care is a Skills for Care endorsed ‘Centre of Excellence’, providing bespoke training across England. Our vocational care courses offer numerous opportunities within the Child and Adult Care sector to those who are either wishing to change their career, are school/higher education leavers, as well as those who are struggling to find work or who have found themselves in long term unemployment.

With over 25 years in business, we pride ourselves on the high quality of our training packages.
During this time, Training in Care Ltd has developed from a sole trader, designing and delivering continuous professional development courses; to a training company designing and delivering both accredited and bespoke professional development courses from orientation to degree level in the UK.

The company has won numerous awards for the design of workforce development solutions in the field of child and adult care and as of 2019, is now the first provider in the North East to become a Skills for Care ‘Centre of Excellence’. Training in Care was chosen by the Department of Health as one of only 12 Training providers to provide Care Workers across England with Covid response training.

The Trainers at Training in Care have a wealth of experience in the Care sector. A range of consultancy is offered, including working alongside regional partnerships; providing input to strategy on both a national and regional level with relevant bodies, working with Colleges, Further and Higher Education.

In 2007 Training in Care invested its profits for the benefit of its students and created a social enterprise offering employment.

To date we can evidence in excess of 2000+ jobs created through this vocational training into employment model.

In 2013 our CEO achieved her doctorate on workforce development linking employability and skills through an employer incubator. Dr Brown partnered 5 European countries for a bid to replicate this South Tyneside model across Europe, and is; a Trustee Board Member of a Sector Skills Council, Chair of England Playwork Education Training Council and England’s representative for employers in the UK.
